Officially formed in early 2014, female-fronted rock band Burning Bright brings a fresh and inventive sound to the heavy rock scene. Drawing inspiration from rock goddesses such as Lacey Sturm (formerly of Flyleaf) and Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, this talented group of musicians hit the ground running and released their debut EP “Against All Odds” in May of 2014. The album was met with critical acclaim, receiving several nominations for “Upcoming Artists to Watch” from I Am Tuned Up, Music Box and Music Inform. The success of this EP was followed up with headlining festival slots on "Live at the Garden", "Inspire The World Day", "Columbus Arts Fest", and "SonFest" in their hometown of Columbus, Ohio.
After gaining momentum and a solid fan base, the band launched an IndieGoGo campaign in November 2015 to fund their debut radio single. produced by John Harrell (Sent By Ravens, Adelaine). After raising over $1500 in direct fan support, they traveled to North Carolina in early 2015 to record with John Harrell (Sent by Ravens, Adelaide). The single took off quickly and received airplay by radio stations across the country in August. "Stay After Me" debuted at #17 on the Christian-Rock Radio Billboard charts, stayed at #1 on the most-added charts for three weeks running, and earned a #2 rank on the Powersurge "Artist to Watch" charts. The single also charted at #23 on the national Rock-billboard charts. After a successful run in the midwest, a handful of direct support shows with Lacey Sturm (Formerly of Flyleaf) and festival dates, the band headed back into the studio to work on their follow-up album “The Dark”.
In December 2017, the band brought a packed house to one of Columbus, Ohio’s top-tanked venues for their album release show. “The Dark” released to the public in February of 2018 and will be followed by a Midwest tour and festival dates. Their "The Light" follow-up album to the highly successful "The Dark" will release in the fall of 2018.
